Hey everyone!
This week, we dove into making our app more functional and engaging. We’re navigating a few technical bumps, but our progress feels solid! Here’s the latest on what we’ve been up to:
🔄 What We Did:
Functionality First
We focused on integrating core features like the Camera API and speech transcription. Though we hit some snags with our database and Uppy (our file uploader), we’re gradually ironing out the issues and making headway!
Design Meets Development
With development in full swing, a few design team members stepped up to support our devs by coding out design adjustments and new pages, speeding up our workflow.
Adding Life to the App
Our design team also added states and microinteractions, giving our pages a bit of personality. It’s all about making the experience feel intuitive and responsive for users.
Building the Brand
We crafted more content for our blog and Instagram to bring our brand to life. From app visuals to real-world applications, we’re working on marketing our concept and sharing our journey!
💡 How We’re Growing:
Week by week, we’re becoming a more unified team. With everyone helping out across roles, our flexibility has been key to staying on track. As the course progresses, we’re not just becoming better collaborators but a well-rounded, adaptable team.
🔍 Next Steps:
Refining APIsFixing up our APIs, especially speech transcription, is priority number one. This feature needs to be smooth for our interview-prep tool to work seamlessly.
Question GenerationWe’re brainstorming on how to create targeted interview questions based on resumes and job postings. This will be a game-changer for personalizing the interview experience!
Microinteractions & Dark ThemeWhile continuing with microinteractions, we’re starting work on a dark theme in Figma to make the app versatile and accessible, with plans to bring it into code soon.
We’re getting closer to a working product, and the momentum is only building. Keep an eye out for more updates next week as we bring more functionality to life!
Cheers,
The Onward team :)
