Sprint 4 (Oct 6 - Oct 12): The Resurgence

Hi everyone!

"Bouncing back, regrouping, and pushing forward", the words of our project manager, Holden Budiman. That is the objective of this week, and we did exactly that. We’re excited to share what we accomplished:

🔄 What We Did:

Competitor Analysis Complete:

After thorough research, we’ve wrapped up our competitor analysis. The insights we gained are invaluable and will help shape our app’s features and user experience.

User Surveys & Feedback:

We finalized both our surveys (one for immigrant nurses and one for Canadian nurses) and got great feedback! The responses have given us clear direction on where to focus our efforts. These answers also helped shaped our feature list

Report Creation:

To summarize our survey findings, we compiled everything into a structured report that outlines the key takeaways and insights we’ll use moving forward.

Reaching Out for Expertise:

We’ve contacted several program heads and faculty at BCIT, hoping to speak with professionals who’ve experienced the interview and hiring process firsthand. Fingers crossed for some great conversations ahead!

Design Inspiration:

We’ve been gathering design inspiration and starting to form a vision for how our app will look and feel.

Feature List & More:

This week, we also finalized our feature list, site map, and content inventory, which means we’re ready to kick off wireframing and start doing what we do best—designing and developing!

Logo Work:

Finally, we started sketching new logo concepts that reflect our app’s values and the healthcare sector we’re targeting. Stay tuned for some cool ideas!

💡 How We’re Growing:

After another round of unexpected setbacks, we realized something had to change. With incredible leadership from Holden Budiman, who stepped up and delegated tasks based on each team member’s strengths, we found our rhythm again.

Subgroup leaders also emerged, guiding their smaller teams and helping everyone stay on track. Motivation was at an all-time high this week—each team member got more involved, jumping in wherever help was needed. It was truly a team effort, and we’re back on track, stronger than ever!
